Hello!!
I am now officially a 2nd transfer missionary!!! And I didn't transfer! I figured I would stay here with Iwasa shimai (Sister Iwasa), almost all beans (means brand new missionaries) get 2 transfers with their trainers... Next transfer will be quite scary I think.. but we will worry about that later! It's totally weird because now Iwasa shimia can say that she only has one transfer left! 2 elders and 1 sister transferred out of our distrcit! It was sad, Rogers Choro (Elder Rogers), our district leader transferred up the way to Kumamoto and is now our zone leader! So that's fun! Alger Choro transfered to Hiroshima somewhere and Mori shimai went to Kagoshima zone! Our district also got younger! Before this transfer I was obviously the baby, but the next youngest was an 8th transfer and the rest were either 10 or 11! So I was the baby by a lot! But now, we have me, a second transfer! A fresh bean and a 5th transfer! Its nice to not be the baby anymore! Oh! Clements shimai is the bean in our district! She was my kohai (junior companion) in the MTC! So it's way fun living with her! And we will probably even get to be companions soon when Heaton shimai and Iwasa shimai go on splits with other zones! That's terrifying though! But it will be way good. Okay, sorry, I don't know if that even made any sense to you! Now I will tell you about my week!
Wednesday! We had a lesson with Kiyomi, she is progressing so much! It's so awesome! She is gonna get baptized one of these days. We taught her about going to church and about how it will bless her family and she's way excited about it! But they are going out of town so they won't be able to come to church until the 28th! But we'll take it! She's so awesome and she's so eager to learn more! On wednesday night me, Iwasa shimai, Heaton shimai, and Mori shimai went out to dinner because it was Mori shimais last night with us! So sad! We ate at this amazing ramen shop right across the street from our apartment! It was so good! Then we had Eikaiwa (English class)! Which is always fun. I talked to this one girl who does gymnastics and I thought she was probably Junko's age so I started telling her about Junko and how awesome she is at gymnastics. Well then I asked her how old she was and she said 15!!! haha I didn't believe her at first! Anyways she's so cute and she started telling me about this band she loves, they sound like the Japanese version of One Direction. Then after eikaiwa she was like "ketch shimai! Are you gonna be here next week?! I'm gonna bring these pictures and posters of this band to show you!" haha so cute! Then after eikaiwa everyone in our district took pictures and exchanged meshis and said good bye and it was sad.
Thursday! We had to take Mori shimai to the bus station! It was so sad saying bye to her! But it's part of missionary life. Then we hurried home and cleaned the apartment and got it all nice and ready for Clements shimai! She is so awesome! and I think she is adjusting way better than I did. Thursday is kind of a boring day because we have weekly planning which takes at least 3 hours!
Friday and Saturday weren't too eventful. We spent the day just streeting and housing. We didn't have any luck finding a new investigator, but it's okay! We taught a lot of totsuzen (sudden) lessons on the street so that's happy!
Sunday was good, church was fun! I seriously love the cute little ward here! They are so awesome! Then we had a lesson with the Kozakis. I don't know if I've told you about the Kozakis, so let me give you a little bit of information. So it's a mom in her 60s and a daughter in her 40s that live together. They are very interesting people. The mom is inactive. She was baptized about 20 years ago with her son. The daughter, Tamami, was at college so she didnt get baptized. But we found out yesterday that Tamami has had missionaries in her life since she was about 5 years old! Okay, and the dad/husband died before Kozaki shimai got baptized. But, I guess he went to Hawaii and visited the Laie temple and signed this referral thing to have missionaries come and teach his family. But he died and never got to learn about the gospel, but the missionaries came to their house and started teaching Kozaki shimai and her son and they got baptized! It's kind of an amazing story. And it's also kind of confusing because their are a lot of holes and missing information. But that's the basic idea... we think. Anyways, we have been teaching these two for a while now, and they haven't really been that interested in the gospel. But they keep inviting us over, mostly because I think they just like to talk to us. They talk A LOT! But we teach them and they always have some interst. The first time we came over, they were all ready for us! They had thier book of Mormons out and that was kind of a surprise becasue it had been like a year since any missionaries went and talked to them. Anyways, Kozaki shimai is always a little more interested in the lessons than Tamami-san, but they both always listen. Well yesterday we taught about the Book of Mormon, and they were both so interested! Like they could not take their eyes off of the pages! And Kozaki shimai was like wow! I remember this! It was soo cool! Even Tamami-san was interested. And then at the end of the lesson, Tamami-san gave the closing prayer. And even though it was really weird, she prayed that me and Iwasa shimai wouldn't get kicked by a horse... she prayed! and it was great! SO I have hope for these two!
Well that's about all for this week! I love you all! Hope you're doing well! The mission is great! And I know this is exactly where I am supposed to be. We see miracles everyday and it's so amazing! Aishiteimasu (I love you!!
