Hello family!i hope you all had a great week! I can't believe Yuko graduated. That's a lot crazy! But congrats! I'm so proud of you! お疲れ様でした.
This week was really crazy. We found 4 new investigators, one nihonjin (Japanese), one from China, one from Kenya, and one from Ohio! Kinda crazy! Especially since there aren't actually a lot of gaijin in this area! All of our investigators are doing really well. We are so busy with lessons! It's way awesome. This is really the first time on my mission that we have had so many people to teach! They aren't all super strong and no one is really super close to being baptized, but they all want to learn and are slowly making their way to baptism!, which is totally fine! It's all in the Lords timing.
This week we had interviews wih kaicho (Mission President). It was the last one with him! He's going home at the beginning of next month! It's way sad. And we are all way nervous about new kaicho. But it will be good! I can't even believe how fast the time is going! This transfer has seriously been so full of miracles and I'm way grateful to be in Yahata! Fun fact, I'm only the 6th sister missionary to serve in Yahata! This area opened less than a year ago for shimai. It's such a special place!
Anyways. I don't have a lot of time but I will tell you about one of the lessons we had this week! It was with Masa-san! She's so cool! So she has pretty bad depression and she almost cancelled our lesson, but because she likes our joint, Tanaka shimai a lot she came haha. Well we planned to teach her the restoration but we didn't get very far. She told us that she doesn't know if she believes that God loves her and then she just told us all about how she wants to just feel nothing because that's better than hurting all the time. And this was just really the first time she opened up to us. We just sat and listened and then we all shared our testimonies and experiences of how we know that God loves us. And I just really connected to her a lot in that lesson and was able to share a lot of things that helped change her perspective. Not that it was me at all, it was totally the Lord. Anyways. She just reminded me so much of one of the investigators I had back in shimizu and I just grew to love Masa so much more! She's doing way great now and she told us that she really has a desire to change and she wants to know and learn for herself that God loves her and the things we are teaching her are true! She's so great! It's so cool being a missionary and having the opportunity to change people's lives for the better. There's nothing else like it. Anyways! I wish I had more time to write but I don't haha. I love you guys! Have a fantastic week!
