Konnichiwa!
This past week was great! You all proabably wanna know what happened with Transfers.... Soooo I didn't transfer! And neither did Iwasa shimai (Sister Iwasa)! We are both so happy! This is Iwasa shimai's last tranfer and we are both so grateful we get to stay together for it!! We have so many goals for her last transfer and there are so many things that she needs to teach me before she dies (means before she goes home)! And this is also really exciting/terrifying because this means I will probably be in Shimizu for probably 2 more transfers... maybe just one more, but probably two. And I will get a new companion and have to be area senpai (senior companion)! That's crazy! But I will worry about that in 6 weeks. For now I'm just so happy that I get to spend my third transfer with Iwasa shimai!!
Alrighty. So we taught Kiyomi-san this week and it was kind of a really rough lesson. Kiyomi is so close to getting baptized! And I think Satan is working extra hard to stop that from happening. Anyways, we asked her to be baptized on November 15th. She kinda freaked out and cried. And she told us that she wants to get baptized but she's so scared of what her family will think. She's so scared of telling her husband that she wants to get baptized. Her husband has met us and knows she's been taking lessons, but baptism is kind of a big deal and she doesn't know how her husband will react when she tells him she wants to be a Christian. So we are trying to help her overcome that fear. It's way hard. But both Iwasa shimai and I love Kiyomi so much! And we know her desire to be baptized is real. Her faith and testimony has grown so much in the 3 months we have been teaching her. It's truly amazing. Pray for her please!
We also had a lesson with Kayo. Iwasa shimai told me that she thought it would be a good idea if I taught the lesson with Clements shimai to see how things went withouth her. It was pretty rough. Clements shimai is a transfer younger than me so our combined Japanese skill is probably the same as like a two year old. But Kayo honestly doesn't care if we understand what she says. She just likes to talk. And the whole time she talked about how she really wants to get married to a British guy. It's amazing. You can literally ask her anything and she will tie it back to how much she wants to marry a british guy. I asked her if she remember how she felt at her baptism and she talked about marrying a british guy. But I think she is way lonely. She told me that she loves our lesson because she loves having someone to talk to. So Iwasa shimai and I are trying to do a better job of showing her love.
The last fun thing this week was the Halloween party!!! It was such a hit! So many people came and there was just so much food and so many games! The 8 missionaries here in this area were incharge of decorating the church. We met up on Friday to decorate and figured it would be two hours tops... yeah, we spent 6 hours decorating! But it was worth it! Everyone loved the party! Iwasa shimai and I had the best costumes I think! She was Elsa and I was Anna from Frozen! Iwasa Shimais costume even included a blonde wig! I will have to try and send you a picture next week!
Things are going really great! We dont have a lot of investigators right now, but its okay. We think we will find some soon! I love being a missionary! Its definitely the hardest thing Ive ever done. I dont think Ive ever been so exhausted in my life, but its totally worth it! I love you all! Thanks for your prayers. Ai Shite Imasu yo!
