Hey family!!!
Sorry I didn't write you yesterday... Its TRANSFER WEEK!! which means p-day gets changed to Tuesday because we get calls on Tuesday that tell us if we are transfering or not! And if we are we gotta run home and pack! So we are anxiously awaiting our phone call..... but I'm probably staying here with Iwasa shimai (Sister Iwasa)! Hopefully until she dies (that means till she goes home)! She only has 2 more transfers left and shes going home! So hopefully I will get to stay with her for her last two! Oh! Heaton shimai, one of the sisters that lives with us, is getting a bean-chan (brand new sister)!! Which means it will be one of my kohai (junior companions) from the MTC!!! There are only two sisters coming in so it will either be Salmon shimai or Clements shimai! They are both so awesome! So Heaton shimai and her new companion will probably stay here because Heaton shimai and Iwasa shimai are STLs... but thats terrifying because it means that when Heaton and Iwasa shimai go on junkai (splits)... me and the bean-chan will be companions for the day.... oh my gosh! That's terrifying! But it will be good!
Okay! this week was seriously filled with miracles!! I will just tell you about Sunday because that was the best day and that's actually where all of the miracles happened. The rest of the week was pretty futsu(ordinary)! So this past sunday was fast Sunday, desho (right?), and our mission had a goal to get 200 nonmembers to church. This was a pretty high goal because our average is only about 80 something. But the whole mission has been praying and fasting for this for like 3 months. Me and Iwasa shimai had about 7 nonmembers lined up to come to church... but as the week went on they kept dropping... So we only got 4. Sidenote! Chigusa (mom's cousin) was one of them... but she canceled the night before because something came up... Anyways, we were kinda disappointed about how many people weren't able to come.... But at the end of the night after the mission reported their numbers we got a message saying that as a whole mission we got 208 nonmembers to church!! Seriously amazing! like we were all so excited! It was such a big miracle! On sunday we also taught 3 lessons to investigators! It was a busy day! First was Zaitsu-san... that lesson was pretty rough. She has such a desire to know and we have talked to her several times about how she needs to act in order to learn for herself but everyweek we says oh I didn't have time to pray or read the chapter you asked me to. So it's really frustrating. Our other two lessons were way better! First we taugh Maiko-chan, she is 20ish and we met her at Eikaiwa(English class)! She's so awesome. She has some kind of physical disability and is in a wheelchair. Shes seriously so amazing! Okay so this was the first time we taught her and oh my lanta! The spirit was amazing! She is so special. Like I know God loves everyone, but I think God especially loves her and has some amazing plans for her. I taught about prayer and like I don't know what happened. All this Nihongo (Japanese) just started flowing out of my mouth and then I started crying so hard! haha. And I finally stoppeed crying and the lesson ended and we had her say the closing prayer and it was the most amazing prayer ever! And I started crying again. haha. She is seriously the best! Kinjin for sure! Okay, and then our third lesson! We have been teaching Kiyomi-san for a while now, I think I told you about her, anyways she is progressing so fast! And she is so excited about the gospel. Well we really want to baptize her and her husband, but the husband is always working so we had never met him. Well the Matsuyama family in our ward has become super great friends with Kiyomi's family, their sons are even the same age and love to play together! Its way cute! The Matsuyamas have really helped us in teaching Kiyomi! It's been awesome. So on Sunday, we had dinner and lesson at the Matsuyamas with Kiyomi and her husband! He is so awesome! We were really nervous about meeting him, but the minute I saw him, I knew he was gonna accept our invitation to start taking the lessons! And he totally did! When we asked him if he would be interested he said yes, and that he thinks this will really unite his family and help his son have a good life! Oh my gosh! This family is so amazing! They already taught little Rin-kun to fold his arms for prayers and say amen! it's the cutest! So hopefully we get this family baptized soon! They will be such strong memeber, they already have so many friends in the ward! It's perfect!
Oh! And I will tell you about Chigusa super quick! SO we met with her and she told us amazing stories about our family! It was so fun! We invited her to take lessons.... she said that she's not really interested. But she went on to tell us about her expereiences with God and kind of some spiritual experiences shes had in her life. She doesn't really believe in God like we do... She's like a lot of other Nihonjin (Japanese) that believe that a lot of things are God. But the good news is that she is definitely being prepared to hear the gospel. We invited her to sacrament meeting because it was our special fast sunday and all the missionaries were supposed to get up and talk. SO we told her I was speaking in church and the missionaries in my ward were doing a special musical number and she was like yeah! I will totally come, but then something happened at the last minute and she couldn't come. So that was a bummer. But pray for her please!!!
Okay! I love you guys!!
