This week was really great! I will start at the beginning!
Monday was p-day! It was really fun. I had to go and buy a kapa, which is a plastic rain suit! haha It's pink! And Iwasa shimai's is blue. I will send you a picture hopefully next week! It's hard to send pictures because we have to bike to the library to email and we can't send pictures from the library, so when we want to send pictures we have to go to this other place. But we don't just go to that other place because you can only use the computer for 30 minutes. Anyways! It was also our turn to go grocery shopping. The shopping wasn't bad. It was the getting everything home part... that was the most terrifying bike ride of my life! But we made it! Then after dinner, p-day is over, and we had an appointment with this kind of less active family in our ward. It takes about 30 minutes to bike there... and the whole way is up hill. And you just wanna die because it's so hot and humid. Okay we get to their apartment and they live like on the fifth floor, so we have to climb a million stairs and I honestly thought I was going to die! We knock on the door and she was like oh my gosh! I am so sorry! I forgot! And then I almost started crying! haha. But she gave us juice and a referal so I guess something good came out of it!
Tuesday we visited Chigusa (my mom's cousin)! She literally lives right down the street from us! like how amazing is that?! Of the hundreds of places I could have gone, I end up in Japan. Of 7 missions in Japan I end up in Fukuoka. Of 11 zones in the mission I get sent to Kumamoto zone 1. Of 5 areas I could have gone, I end up in Shimizu! Where chigusa lives right down the road! It is way amazing! And she is friends with a less active member in our ward. Like there are just way too many miralces! Its no coincidence! So be expecting a baptism soon! :)
Wednesday we had Eikaiwa (English Conversation Class) like we do every wednesday! It was way fun! And it's the one time where I know what is going on and everyone else is confused haha so it's kind of a nice break! We always have a conversation with the students... but really it is just a script and they read it to practice saying the words. Anyways, me and Heaton shimai (Sister Heaton) demonstrated the script, and I hadn't read it before but there was this part about the moon being made of cheese and I just lost it! I was laughing for like 10 minutes and then all the other senkyoshi (missionaries) started laughing and none of the Nihonjin (Japanese) knew what was happening so they just watched us laughed and were really confused haha. It was great!
Thursday we had Junkai, or splits. It was so humid that day. Like I basically was swimming. Anyways we spent all day outside knocking on doors and stuff and I have never sweat so much in my life. But I got icecream so it was worth it. haha.
Friday was a boring day. We did weekly planning. So we pretty much spent all day doing that. But we did go visit a recent convert. She is in the hospital. She got surgery... But okay it was so funny because we finally found the hospital and there was this kanji (Chinese characters) so I don't know what the hospital is called in Japanese but in English it said anal disease clinic... so that's awesome haha. Anyways, she is way cool! And we just talked and visited with her and shared some scriptures and stuff!
Saturday we had a lesson with the Kozaki family. The mom is a less active and the daughter is a nonmember. We taught them about eternal families and at first they were like ehh that's okay. I don't really care if I'm with my family forever. I think it would just annoy me haha. But by the end we helped them see what a great blessing it is! They are both making a lot of progress! We hope we can baptize the daughter! Plus they always give us the most deicious apple juice when we visit! Then saturday night we went to the zoo with our eikaiwa (English class) students! It was way fun! And there were fireworks!
Sunday was church and I was way happy because I understood a lot of words in Relief Society... but then I did not understand the sunday school teacher like at all... But Iwasa shimai said it's okay becasue his Nihongo (Japanese) is kinda weird. I don't know if thats actually true or if she was trying to make me feel better haha. Then after church we went to visit the Yatsuhashi family... They are this old couple with 3 kids. Well their son was recently in an accident and is paralyzed from the neck down. So they are way busy taking care of him. It is way sad and we are trying to figure out how to help them. We talked to Yatsuhashi kyodai (Brother Yatsuhashi) and he's nice and always gives us food and sends us on our way. I think he is just really angry and doesn't really want to think about church. So we are working on that one!
This week should be a good week! Wednesday is Iwasa shimais birthday so we are going to party! haha. Not really. I love you guys! Talk to you next week!!
